Stars 3, Avalanche 2
We won again? Too much more of this and we will start expecting wins from this team again. The Dallas Stars played some solid defense and Mike Modano looked like he was 30 last night, as the Stars win another at home 3-2 over the Colorado Avalanche. It was another good win for Dallas, 5 straight at home now and 5 out of the last 7.
Last night has already been referred to a lot as “vintage” Modano. And it is quite true. Mike’s speed was on display, especially with his first goal were he seemed to be [...]

Stars 4, Flames 3 (Shootout)
Better late then never right? That is how I feel with this post. Sorry been a couple of crazy days for me. But last night I got to venture again into the AAC to see the Stars come back in town to kick off 4-straight home games. And after scoring first, the Dallas Stars got behind to the Calgary Flames 3-1 just past the half-way point of the game. But Dallas fought back, stuck with how they were palying the game and sent it into OT 3-3. Then Dallas did something they have had problems with [...]

Stars 4, Edmonton 3 and one last minute miracle
It is over. The Dallas Stars finally snapped their 10 game road-losing streak with a 4-3 win at the Edmonton Oilers friday night. Now Dallas is in Denver getting ready to play the Colorado Avalanche to finish out their 3 game road-trip this week. After tonight Dallas comes back into town for 4 in a row at the AAC where the Stars have been hot and consistent for just as long as they have been bad on the road. The key now will be if they can bring the momentum from winning [...]

Vancouver 4, Stars 3 = another road L
Well there you have it folks. Another road game, another good effort for part of the game, but in the end it equals another lose on the road for the Dallas Stars. The Vancouver Canucks came back from being down 2-1 halfway through the game to take a 4-2 lead in the 3rd period, and ended up beating the Stars 4-3. The first period looked about even, if not slightly in the Stars favor. The two teams come out tied 1-1 after goals by each in the last 5 mins of the period. [...]

Stars 4, Wild 3
Fun game to be at last night. Dallas Stars go up 4-0 before having to hold off the Minnesota Wild to win 4-3 last night at the AAC. For those of you who don’t know or have not read my introduction in my first post, I had season tickets for the last 2 years and plan on having them again next year. But this season I was not able to, and last night marked my first game of the season. Here is our view last night:
Star got out early and were attempting to be physical from the [...]

Stars 3, Red Wings 2 (SO)
Good win for Dallas. Alex Auld finally gets another start in net with Marty Turco continuing to struggle in net, and after having 2 goals go in early turns into a brick wall. Auld had two get past him in the opening minutes of the game, neither really his fault, but then shut down the Detroit Red Wings for the game which included OT and 6 rounds in the Shootout. But Auld kept stopping everything and gaining the trust of not only his teammates, but also his coach. Crawford said after the game, “You’d have [...]

I am going to make this one quick, sorry but but the Stars vs Red wings game is starting right now. Stars come back home for today’s afternoon game against Detroit having lost another one on the road Thursday at Montreal. The team looked better overall, offense had chances and got some goals, but when you give up 5 goals you are not gonna win many games folks. Turco continues to be shaky and has not shown any improvement.
As I write this the Stars vs Red Wings game is a few ticks into the game. Auld will get the start [...]

Philadelphia 6, Dallas 3
I almost did not want to discuss this game. It was that bad. I could have last night, but did not want to right away without watching some replays and cooling down a little. The Philadelphia Flyers completely destroyed Dallas in the 2nd period. The first period went okay, the Stars were down 1-0 after the 1st but it was a close game. Neal came out and got the Stars on the board right away in the 2nd to make it 1-1 and make everyone think Dallas might show up on the road tonight. That quickly changed, [...]
