Bye-bye Luongo again? And Iron Man 2 brief review!

Here we go, tonight could be the night for the Chicago Blackhawks, who are up 3-1 in their series against the Vancouver Canucks, as game 5 is tonight. The Chicago powerplay has been clicking and using all the extra chances Vancouver is giving them. Roberto Luongo is becoming overrun with unwanted guests in his own crease, and it seems to be getting to him as this series moves on. He is constantly looking at the refs and teammates around him after a lot of goals recently. Some of this he has to step up and stop, but some of this is that there is no way he can do it all. Chicago is crashing the net and getting rebounds, scrappy goals and constantly making Luongo uncomfortable in his net. If Chicago keeps it up the series is over tonight and Luongo will face an even bigger label as a great goalie who can not get far in the playoffs. Personally I think Chicago wins a close game tonight and closes it out.

Waiting for them are the San Jose Sharks, who closed out the Red Wings in game 5. Great series by the Sharks to take control early and win close games. They looked more focused and played a lot better in the 2nd round and if they keep it going then this West Finals series may be massive. But you never know what may happen, Chicago has to wrap up their series first and not let Vancouver work their way into a game 7 where they could come in with all the momentum.

And as promised, my thoughts on Iron Man 2. Along with some friends I had it planned out and we went to the midnight release Thursday night/Friday morning. I was worried before hand as I read a couple of reviews Thursday that both gave it a 3 out of 5 and said it barely passed and was just an average. But as we sat down I was still giddy to watch it. It did not let me down either. If anything you get more of the same – same sweet action, same little laughs, cool gadgets and stunts, and more Robert Downey Jr. If you liked the first one then you should like this one. It is not better then the first but I enjoyed it and was not disappointed. Cool new upgrades, another gorgeous woman, a better side kick, and the introduction of a couple of the enemies Iron dealt with throughout the comics. I give it a 4 out of 5. I will definitely go see it again.

SIDENOTE: 2-0 Vancouver after the 1st.
