So I am back up and running. This post will be short to get it up before the game and because I am still getting things back together. Tonight the Dallas Stars have a nice measuring stick game against the Washington Capitals at the American Airlines Center. Dallas enters on a four game winning streak and has a solid stretch of 6-1-1 that has gotten them up to the top of the division and near the top of the conference standings. So they have strung wins and games together, and we are about a quarter of the way into the season. Now the top team in the Eastern conference is in town tonight, and while the Stars have been excellent against teams from the other conference, it will be a good game to watch them test where they are against a team that is considered one of the top 5-6 in the league.
The Stars announced today that it will not be Lehtonen, but Andrew Raycroft will be in between the pipes for the game. He has been great for the Stars this season, and Crawford wants to give him a serious test tonight. Well crap….we will just have to see how this one goes. Fistric will be out again, and it means Woywitka is back in for the 5th game in a row. I am not sure about tonight. Another win and we could keep a solid stretch going for another 4-5 games. But tonight could be a big game for the teams morale.
Prediction:Caps 4, Stars 3 (OT) Stars play well and keep it close, but Caps offense is too much for the D and Raycroft
