Vote for Jamie Benn

Just wanted to help spread the word out to everyone and hopefully help a Dallas Stars player get some further support. Stars breakout young forward Jamie Benn had an amazing sophomore season that started to really draw attention to himself and his potential, after already showing that he had a bright future in his first season. Benn put up 22 goals and 34 assists for 56 points in only 69 games this season, playing everywhere from the 3rd line and PK to the top line and powerplay late in the season while the Stars dealt with injuries and inconsistent scoring. The young winger is only 21 but is already becoming a fan favorite and looks to have a promising career, hopefully with the Stars for a long time.

One thing Benn has already showed a knack for is scoring amazing goals. He uses strong stick skills, agility, and just great hockey smarts to regularly create breakaways and fast-breaks. Benn scored four short-handed goals this season and it feels like most of his 22 goals came one breakaways or fast-breaks, often ending with Benn scoring a highlight reel goal. Now one of Benn’s stellar goals is up for the “Play of the Year” on TSN. TSN’s “Play of the Year Showdown” is a voter driven contest in which fans vote on the better play, and the player that wins moves on in a tournament style bracket. So here is the link for everyone, head over to watch the plays and vote for Jamie Benn: Click here to go to the bracket.
