World Championships Proving Dangerous For Stars

First Tom Wandell left the championships, then Nicklas Grossman left and now Loui Eriksson is feeling the effects of the tournament as he suffered a growing injury in Sweden’s 6-2 trouncing of the American squad.

While the new is that even if he doesn’t play in the next game, the injury is very minor and he will be back soon. It does make you wonder if one of these injuries is the beginning of the end. So many times you see athletes get that one concusion ro that one shoulder or knee injury and then from then on out their career is plagued with seasons in which they never play all 82 games again. Already Tom Wandell’s career has been marked with unfortunate injuries, you have to hope that this is all just a coincidence and the key pieces of the Stars future aren’t going to start faltering under the weight of injuries at the wrong time of their career, in a non-NHL even no less.

But alas, all we can do is wait and hope that none of these injuries require surgery that will keep them out long enough to linger into the next season’s training camp. Unlikely that it will effect the Stars fresh season, but … what else are we going to write about, right?

Go… Loui? Yeah, GO LOUI!
