Both of the Dallas Stars top 2 draft picks this season were invited to the Canadian camp for the World Junior Championships (primarily) this year and today they both arrive on the scene.
That’s right, Jamie Oleksiak the 6’7 giant defenseman the Stars took 14th over all and forward Brett Ritchie who was taken 44th over all in the second round of the draft will be hitting the ice in Edmonton today to start the summer camp. While the critics can analyze and thus criticize our depth in our prospects, I don’t think you can argue that the Stars did a pretty solid job of drafting this year based on the picks they had. Wait… there are more players in the Stars prospect pool who are going to be at their respective country’s camp? Well, who are they?
