Preview: Blue Jackets @ Stars...Stars Look For Sweep

The home at home series between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Dallas Stars has been a great one so far as the Stars won the game Saturday in the third period on goals from a Sheldon Souray shot  and then Michael Ryder finished the game off with a power play goal for a 4-2 for the Stars. Columbus will still be looking for their first win as Steve Mason will be the goaltender for the Blue Jackets again Tuesday, while Kari Lehtonen will start for the Stars. Lehtonen was named the NHL’s third start of the week on Monday, as is very deserving of the recognition given his start to the season.

Injury report for the Columbus Blue Jackets are that Jeff Carter is day-to-day for Columbus but probably will miss this game, while goalie Mark Dekanich (sprained ankle) and forwards Kristian Huselius (pectoral surgery) & Jared Boll (broken thumb) are on injured reserve. The Dallas Stars are still healthy with no injuries to report.

The puck drops at 6 pm CST as this game between the Dallas Stars and the Columbus Blue Jackets will be another tough game for both teams. The Stars have been successful against the Blue Jackets at the Nationwide Arena, posting a 13-4-3 record. It is a must win for the Columbus Blue Jackets as they are looking for a win period, leaving the Stars with a team that might throw anything legal or not at them to finally win one.
