While the Dallas Stars are locked out, the season continues on for locked out players like Jamie Benn, Jaromir Jagr, Philip Larsen and Stephane Robidas who are playing in Europe. Whenever the lockout ends, all of them who signed with teams overseas are expected to return when the NHL lockout is over.
Here are some notes and statistical updates on them:
- Left Winger Jamie Benn is currently playing with the Hamburg Freezers of the DEL league. In the 15 games that he has played so far, he has collected 15 points (7g, 8a). Today in the game against the Iserlohn Roosters, he fought with Mark Bell, a former NHLer. As we all remember, Jamie did drop the mitts with Jarome Iginla of the Calgary Flames, so this is nothing new. His best game so far is when he netted a goal against the Straubing Tigers for a 4-1 win.
- Right Winger Jaromir Jagr, who signed a one year deal with the Dallas Stars during the summer, is currently playing with the HC Kladno of the Czech League. In the 23 games he has played so far, he has collected 38 points (16g, 22a). His best game to date was when he scored two goals for Kladno in a 3-2 loss to Ceske Budejovice on November 28.
- Defenseman Philip Larsen is currently playing with the Lukko Rauman of the SM-liiga league. In the 19 games he played so far, he has collected 11 points (5g, 6a). His best game was when he had a goal and an assist in Lukko Rauman‘s 4-1 win over Pelicans Lahti.
- Defenseman Stephane Robidas is currently playing with the HIFK Helsinki of SM-liiga league. He scored a goal in IFK Helsinki’s 3-2 loss to Jokerit. Robidas has two goals and five points in 10 SM-liiga games this season.
