Dallas Stars prospects this season so far have made some big news the past few days especially with both Brett Ritchie and Austin Smith

Brett Ritchie, who is currently playing with the Niagara IceDogs, has made a huge impression with the team so far as he is locked with Team Canada for the World Championships being held in UFA, Russia. He is tied for the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) goal scoring with 27 goals and has 50 points which is good for 4th in point scoring. He is considered a lock in with Team Canada.

Also forward Austin Smith, who is currently playing with the Idaho Steelheads, has been on a hot streak of his own as he ran his point streak to ten points with a goal in the Steelhead’s 4-0 victory over the Alaska Aces.  He has found success with the Steelheads after being sent down from the Texas Stars. Hopefully Austin can keep up racking points.
