Americans lead season series 2 games to none

Tomorrow, also New Year’s Eve, the Allen Americans who are at the top in the CHL with a 20-5-2 record for 42 points, are looking to keep their winning streak alive as they host the Quad City Mallards, who are the 8th seed in the CHL with a 13-13-8 record for 29 points. The Americans are coming off a dominating 4-1 over their division rivals, the Fort Worth Brahmas thanks to a terrific performance from Darryl Bootland who got the natural hat trick and the Ludwig twins, Tyler and Trevor. The Mallards are coming off a 3-1 win over the Tulsa Oilers.

So tomorrow look for a dominating performance from the Americans like they did last two games against the Fort Worth Brahmas. Also look for Anthony Maiani and Scotty Howes, who have combined for a total of 13 goals, 13 assists for 26 points in the past 10 games. Those two have been lighting up the scoreboard. But the biggest acquisition over the summer for the Americans has been Darryl Bootland, who is 2nd in the team with 15 goals and 54 points.

If the Americans can get goal scoring and a great goaltending performance from either Steve Silverthorn or Aaron Dell, the Americans will be off to their 21st win of the season and their 4th win in a row.
