Reilly Smith Receives Rookie Of The Month Honors

The AHL has named Reilly Smith of the Texas Stars the CCM Rookie Of The Month for December.
Smith had a phenomenal December averaging a point a game and leading the team in goals for the month. Smith also tallied five multiple point games that included game winning goals against San Antonio and Oklahoma City. In honor of his efforts, Smith will receive an etched crystal award; to be handed out at a Stars home game in the near future. This is only the second time a player from the Texas Stars has earned a monthly honor. Goaltender Brent Krahn received the award in 2009.
Smith and the Stars are back in action January 4th, taking on the Houston Aeros.
