This season with the 48 games season to start on January 19, the Dallas Stars are going in with the new and with the old. Today the Dallas Stars have announced that Mike Modano, who is also a minority owner with the Allen Americans, is returning to the franchise. His role with the team is unknown. Having someone like Mike Modano with the Dallas Stars after this lockout is sure to bring many fans back into the seats and to hopefully bring the Stanley Cup back.

The Dallas Stars even had a few promotional videos with Mike Modano, former Stars goalie Marty Turco and even General Manager Joe Nieuwendyk. It was part of a campaign mode in which the three of them have expressed their belief in the new Stars.

Mike Modano talked about his belief in the new Stars below on the Dallas Stars website.

Once again, this is great news for the Dallas Stars. Now let’s get some Stars hockey going on!
