Game Preview: Fort Worth Brahmas Vs. Allen Americans

Fort Worth Brahmas vs. Allen Americans

Arena: Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas

Time: 7:05 pm.

The Allen Americans are currently on a three game losing streak after losing to the Bloomington Blaze, 5-2 on Saturday night. They were without the services of Kip Brennan who was serving a one game suspension and Adam Pineault who has been placed on the IR for 14 days. Also reports that new forward Chris Doyle will be here Monday but will not be able to play Tuesday as he is on the seven-day injured reserve effective on January 25.

Tomorrow night they are facing a Fort Worth Brahmas team that defeated the Rapid City Rush by the score of 3-2 Saturday night behind the team’s second consecutive third-period comeback. The Brahmas are also on a two game winning streak and the last time they met the Americans which was on January 12, they beat them 4-3.

With these two teams, there is always a good match up between the two and the one that usually sticks out during the season has been Jon Snowden who has 6 goals and 3 assists for 9 points in the 5 games these two teams have faced. On the Americans side it has been Darryl Bootland who has 6 goals and 4 assists for 10 points in the 8 games he has played against the Brahmas.

Tomorrow night, the Americans will try to end a three game home losing streak against the Brahmas and also try to not make bad defensive plays. If the Americans can play their own game tomorrow then they will see their losing streak snap.

Series Notes

This is the 9th meeting between both the Americans and Brahmas.  The Brahmas have won the past two meetings with the Americans, each by the final score of 4-3. Fort Worth currently trails Allen by five points in the standings with nine more match ups between the two teams remaining.
