Things are looking up for the Stars as the 2013-2014 season draws near, and fans aren’t the only ones saying so. It was an extremely eventful off-season for the organization and many of the changes made are sure to turn heads throughout the league. From earth-shattering trades to smart draft picks, the season has great potential to dig the team out of the post-season drought.

Perhaps the biggest change for the Dallas Stars came with the unanticipated eight-player trade between the Stars and the Bruins. The influx of youth to the team, both through the Stars/Bruins trade and through smart draft picks, attracted admiration NHL-wide.

As a member of the eight-player trade, Tyler Seguin was thrust into the spotlight before he even set foot in Dallas. Okay, the tweets may not have helped, but one thing is for sure, the new opportunity with Dallas is one Seguin is taking very seriously.
