Tonight is the night we have all been waiting all summer for. The Lone Star Brahmas will open their inaugural NAHL season tonight at the NyTex Sports Centre against the visiting Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. The same two teams will wrap up the two game series on Saturday evening.

The weekend series will give both teams some game experience under their belts before heading off to Blain, MN next week for the NAHL Showcase Tournament. All 24 NAHL teams will be competing in the tournament with each team playing four games in four days. The NAHL Showcase Tournament has become a must attend event for NHL, NHL and NCAA scouts. Every season multiple players come out of the tournament with NCAA commitments.

The Brahmas will be sporting their new sweaters which arrived just in time for this weekend’s play. The home jerseys are white with purple panels trimmed in black and a sneering brahma head on the chest and numbers on the shoulder. On the back, player names and numbers are black trimmed in purple with the NyTex logo just below the collar.
