The Dallas Stars are on a hot streak in the win column and in the goal scoring column. Since the Stars lost 4-2 to the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center the Stars have rolled off 3 straight wins by going on a scoring rampage with 7, 4, 5 in each victory.
The wins have pushed the Stars from outside the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs looking in to the #8 seed and the final wild card team. The Stars are starting to get red hot while the team tied with the Stars the Phoenix Coyotes are starting to struggle. This looks like a great combination for the Stars and making a return trip to the playoffs.
The final 7 games shape up like this:
- At Carolina Hurricanes
- At Tampa Bay Lightning
- At Florida Panthers
- Vs Nashville Predators
- Vs Columbus Blue Jackets
- Vs St. Louis Blues
- At Phoenix Coyotes
The Schedule is set up for the taking for the Stars to make the playoff with the Hurricanes and Predators playing out the string and the Blues should have the #1 seed won by the time the Stars play them so their motivation shouldn’t be that great.
The biggest game of the final 7 may just be the season finale against the Coyotes. The two teams currently are tied with the Stars holding the tie breaker. The Stars are in the driver seat with the play of Kari Lehtonen and the offense firing on all cylinders.
What do you think? Will the Stars seal the deal and make the playoffs? The playoffs are in their grasp will the seize it!!!!
