Who Will Step Up For The Stars This Weekend?

The Stars didn’t come through last night and the final two games will determine if it’s time to grow playoff beards and make plans to play more hockey or if it’s time to dust off the golf clubs so the question in the final weekend of the regular season is who will step up for the Stars in their quest for a playoff spot?

Somebody will need to step up and the first person to look at is the Captain Jamie Benn.  Benn has become a great leader and consistent scorer and these are the times that teams look to the man wearing the C to lead them to the promise land.  The game Friday night a week ago looked like a game that the Blues could overlook but the Blues have stumbled down the stretch and the AVs are gaining ground so the Captain should be one to lead.

The second person to look to step up is Tyler Seguin.  This is not a role familiar to Seguin which is why the Boston Bruins didn’t deem it necessary to keep him on the roster after last year’s trip to the Stanley Cup Finals. This would be a great time for Seguin to make another huge step this season from scorer to leader.

The final guess could be Antoine Roussel only because he could highly annoy the opponents in the final weekend.  The annoying guy can be the hero in the end right?
