I was wondering did anyone else enjoy today as much as I did?
The soft chants of “Go Stars” lingering in the air from last night. The lack of hair in the bathroom sink due to the fact of playoff beard season starting session. The soft sound of Stars fans keyboards clicking as they buy Game 3 and Game 4 tickets and parking passes. The sound of lost Stars fans keyboards clicking away to rejoin the brotherhood and don the new victory green for the first time. It was a good day to say the least.
The boys got off easy today as Coach Ruff canceled practice and they deserved to take the day off after their heroic efforts last night. Oh and to make theirs and our nights even better, guess who lost again??? (That team that thinks ice in the desert is a good idea). The Stars are sitting in a PHX hotel room right now, kicking back, maybe having a cold one or two, maybe even having some pool time with Ralph and Razor (can you imagine what kind of party would come from that). Whatever the Stars do tomorrow has no effect on them whatsoever and now they are eagerly waiting for their schedule to be confirmed.
This is truly such a great feeling. It’s funny to think that the last time the AAC had ice being used on the floor during the postseason was when ol Mikey was still considered in his prime (although I don’t think he ever left it) and Turco was still the back stopper. Its even funnier to think that our Captain hadn’t even benn (teehee) added to the roster yet. It’s hard to explain it in words, it’s more of something you have to feel. But dang it feels good to be a Stars fan today!
So I hope everyone enjoyed their day knowing all along that eighth was secure and I hope you will enjoy being able to laugh at PHX tomorrow. This truly is a great time for the city of DFW. Hockey is getting closer and closer to where it used to be on our city’ s importance list. Now we just have to hop back to the top (and they said hockey would never work in Dallas). Enjoy your night Stars fans. We’ve all earned it. They put up this fight for us and they’ve earned it as well. These guys were projected to finish 10th and 11th in the conference at the beginning of the season (who’s laughing now?). It truly brightens your day just to think about the abolition of the absence, doesn’t it? So as always, keep your eyes on the road ahead. Stay faithful and never give up hope. Next up the Cup. Talk to y’all tomorrow. Good night and as always, Go Stars!
