Are you still watching the Stanley Cup Playoffs? That is the question after the Dallas Stars were eliminated by the Anaheim Ducks last week? Let’s be honest if you throw out the Stars series, the playoffs have been great. There have been last second comebacks, two goal comebacks, overtime games, it’s been a nightly soap opera with every game unfolding before our eyes.
I know I have two types of reactions to tough losses. Never watch a playoff game the rest of the year or cheer for the team that beat us to lose. The first one really is my bread and butter move. I cannot stand watching anymore of the playoffs when my team is eliminated no matter what the sport. It’s just too tough to click on a game and not feel total anger that my team is not on the TV.
The cheering for or against the team that beat us is another option which I don’t do but I know many fall back on especially in football when people feel if the team that beats them wins the Super Bowl they are rewarded too. It doesn’t make too much sense to me but that’s always an option!
So what do you do? Turn the TV off or Root Harder? The Playoffs have been great with or without you.
