Daley is the current longest tenured player on the Dallas Stars and has been with them for 2 playoff appearances (however many centuries that’s been ha).
He truly had a remarkable season this past year, and looking past his 15 game injury span, he was pretty helpful. He netted 9 goals and tallied 15 assists this past season and gave the other team fits with his 2 way game. His physical fore check on the defensive side of the blue line was just as deadly as his offensive attack. He turned out to be a remarkable leader and went with Goligoski like peanut butter and jelly. Their clicking on the ice was what helped the struggling Dallas blue line this past year. He can be heavily relied on when needed and is always there to lend a helping hand.
He’s signed on for the next 3 seasons and personally I believe that we are looking at the new face of the Dallas defense that will remain to be that face for the years to come. His aggressive style of play is hard for teams to match and his talent on both sides of the puck is unbelievable. He stifled the Ducks with his overall quickness and found their gaps much to easily for an average defenseman.
But again, for the very first time it’s not all about my opinion! You have the freedom to choose and let your vote be heard on what the Stars should be aiming to do with Trevor Daley during this offseason. Please don’t let my vote swing you in any way (as if it hasn’t enough already). So go ahead and choose what the Stars should ultimately do with #6, The Architect of Awesome (thanks again for the many jokes, Razor), Trevor Daley:
