I was sitting here going through hockey withdrawal, as most of you probably are, and I decided to search “Dallas Stars Preseason” on Google.

Boy, am I MUCH happier now. The Dallas Stars have officially announced their 2014-2015 preseason schedule (that didn’t take too long)!

So all hockey withdrawal set aside, you can now at least focus on the Stars’ preseason! At least until July 1st when the FA floodgates explode open.

Here’s a look at the Stars’ full preseason schedule, including 3 home games, 2 away games, and 1 neutral sited game:

The Dallas Stars’ 2014-2015 Preseason Schedule:

Monday, September 22nd: Dallas Stars vs. St. Louis Blues, 7:30 PM:

The Stars will once again face their division foe twice in the preseason for the second season in a row. Though the preseason games will mainly consist of the younglings who the Stars are still on the fence about regarding NHL status. But that doesn’t make them any less enjoyable. The Stars held the advantage over their season series with the St. Louis Blues, going 3-1-1 over the duration of the regular season. The game will open the Stars preseason play and will take place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Wednesday, September 24th: Dallas Stars @ Florida Panthers, 6:30 PM:

The Stars will face the Florida Panthers for a second preseason in a row, with this game’s lineup being very similar to the one described above. The Stars took a 2-0-0 series sweep on the Florida Panthers in the preseason, but sadly flipped the results in the regular season, going 0-2-0. This game will be the first of a two game series in the preseason against Florida and will take place at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida.

Friday, September 26th: Dallas Stars @ Tampa Bay Lightning, 6:30 PM:

The Stars will play the Tampa Bay Lightning for the first time in a while regarding preseason play. The Stars had an average year against the Lightning, going 1-1-0, one being a 4-2 loss at home after heavily outshooting Ben Bishop, and the other being a 5-2 smothering in Tampa with Jamie Benn scoring 2 goals in the first 6 minutes. This will be the Stars 3rd preseason game and they will be in Florida for 3-4 days. The two game series is scheduled to start at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa, Florida.

Saturday, September 27th: Dallas Stars @ St. Louis Blues, 7:00 PM:

The Stars will play this back-to-back as the final of a 2 game series against the Blues after hosting them 6 days earlier. They This game is set to be played at a neutral site, being the Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO instead of the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

Monday, September 29th: Dallas Stars vs. Florida Panthers, 7:30 PM:

The Stars will end their series against the Florida Panthers, most likely having their regular season roster formed by this game. The final game of the two game series is scheduled to be played at the American Airlines Center.

Tuesday September 30th: Dallas Stars vs. Tampa Bay Lightning, 7:30 PM:

The Dallas stars will look to conclude their preseason with a win in the final game of their 2 game series with the Tampa Bay Lightning. This game will for the most part showcase both teams’ starting lineups for the regular season. The game will take place at the American Airlines Center.

The Dallas Stars season, as you can see, is approaching very quick, which is a great relief for Stars’ fans everywhere. The regular season schedule, per the Dallas Morning News, is scheduled to be released this Sunday. Whatever happens, I will keep you up to date whenever it does happen.

Single-game preseason tickets will be ready for sale at a later date. Whether the games will be televised or not has not been announced, though last year they were not. If you are looking to buy season tickets for the regular season schedule, click here.

I’ll keep y’all up to date ALL the time. Cannot wait for Sunday, as I’m sure you can’t either now.
