Stars Power Countdown: 94 Days: The Contest Begins

Hey Stars fans! Sorry this post is so late, my wifi has been down for a good while and I just now got it fixed. But it’s countdown time! 94 days till the Stars open regular season play against their division rival Chicago Blackhawks!

Today was the great Jason Spezza introduction! If you didn’t catch the presser and total introduction, it was a SIGHT to see! Spezza sounded VERY excited to be in Dallas and play with such a young group of core guys. He said that he was ready to take on a leadership role and help along the younger guys.

But his main point that he referred back to more than a few times was that he came to Dallas to compete for a Stanley Cup! He annunciated that Dallas was one of his main choices because of their recent success and that they’re one of the favorites to make a serious Cup run next year. He knew that he would be a big boost in their confidence and their overall scheme and was ready to take on a new challenge. And thus, he dawned the Victory Green jersey for the VERY first time! And it looked rather magnificent. Spezza said he was really going to miss all his teammates from Ottawa (except Hemsky of course). What 3 teams did Tyler Seguin score hat tricks against this season? He was also going to miss the city of Ottawa as a whole, considering he has spent his last 13 seasons there.

When asked about the Hemsky deal, Spezza really lit up and became energetic and excited. He said he knew that Hemsky was going to be a huge help as well to the Stars offense, even if they never played on the same line all season, but he left that up to Lindy!

Overall, he was very impressed with Big D and it looks as though a contract could be in the near future! So, aren’t you glad Spezza is coming to Dallas?

Okay, if there is a trivia question, answer it! If not, wait till tomorrow!

94 days till puck drop. Cannot wait, as I’m sure you can’t either. Since it’s day 1 of the contest, I’ll give you a hint. Look really close at the paragraphs, always! Remember to answer below if there is one and then I’ll choose a random winner if the  post reaches 150 views! I’ll let you know the outcome the next day.
