The month of August is quickly disappearing and September is on it’s way. With September comes training camp and preseason games.
Yes, it’s almost here, Stars fans!
Training camp is scheduled for September 19th-21st and the Dallas Stars officially kick off their preseason schedule with the St. Louis Blues on Monday, September 22nd.
Training camp will be kicked off with a Dallas Stars Cowtown Kickoff, starting at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 19th at Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth. The Dallas Stars Street Squad will have various attractions set up for the supporters in attendance, including a slap shot cage and a bounce house. Live music will be on hand, with “Prophets and Outlaws”, a Dallas-based “southern rock band with soul” beginning their performance at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m. Dallas Stars broadcasters Josh Bogorad and Ali Lucia will host a Q&A with Dallas Stars employees and staff members previewing the 2014-2015 season. Prophets and Outlaws will reconvene at 8 p.m. and perform until 10 p.m. when the event officially concludes.
The training camp portion of the weekend is free and open to the public, and will conclude with an intra-squad “green-and-white” scrimmage on Sunday, September 21st. The schedule is set as follows:
Friday, Sept. 19: 9-10:45 a.m. (Group A), 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Group B)
Saturday, Sept. 20: 9-10:45 a.m. (Group B), 11:45 am to 1:30 p.m. (Group A & C)
Sunday. Sept. 21: Intra-squad Scrimmage: 10 a.m.
The Stars will continue to hold their regular season practices at Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco, but times have not been announced yet. They will still be free and open to the public, though!
Will you be attending any of the Dallas Stars’ training camp events? I plan to be at most, if not all of them!
