Dallas Stars Power Countdown: 36 Days: Round 3 Results

Wednesday is here, and the week is already halfway over, though it probably does not feel like that because of your three-day weekend! The week is half over, and the countdown is almost over! can you believe we started this thing 60 days ago? Crazy! Well, only 36 days left until the Dallas Stars open their season up against the Chicago Blackhawks on October 9th at the American Airlines Center.

I’ve started a new series, and if you didn’t catch yesterday’s poll, tough luck.

I have made a bracket, one like you would see for the NBA or NHL playoffs, of the 16 best games of the Dallas Stars 2013-2014 regular season. I’m sure you will agree entirely with the 16 games I have chosen, and if not, then just play along and comment at the end with which one you feel should have been given a chance and won.

So, I will put a poll up for each of the next 15 days featuring one of the games, with a brief argument for why it should be considered. Then, you can go to the bottom and vote on which one you think deserves to move on to the next round. The poll will expire 24 hours after it is put up, just in time for the next bracket of games to be put up. At the end of the Sweet 16, I will announce the winners and results of the entire round and start up the Elite 8, and so on and so forth. Sound fun? If so, great! If not, oh well.

The Sweet 16 and Elite 8 have been over for a while now and the Final 4 polls have all officially closed! Who’s ready for the results? Here is the vote tally for the last two games:

The Detroit Red Wings game from November 7th VS. The Minnesota Wild game from March 8th: Minnesota won the match, 8-4

The Boston Bruins game from November 5th VS. The St. Louis Blues game from April 11th: St. Louis won the match, 10-5

Those are the results for the Final 4 and here is the matchup for the championship:

Minnesota vs. St. Louis

In tomorrow’s countdown, I’ll release the poll for the championship round and that poll, considering it is for all the marbles, will be live for a week! Which means the winner from it will be announced on Friday, September 12th, a week from Dallas Stars training camp! Considering it is the last poll, make sure you tell everyone you can to vote in it!

Comments and questions below, and as always thanks for reading! Go Stars.
