The Dallas Stars fans in attendance at last night’s game had their wish for a win fulfilled. But Dallas Stars ice girl Melissa Lauren got more than that. She got a fiancé.

Last night was quite the night to be a Dallas Stars fan. Not only did they come away with a 4-2 win and break their losing streak, but their game against the New Jersey Devils had just about everything a Stars fan could want in it.

The birthday boy Valeri Nichushkin scored a beautiful goal. Vernon Fiddler tallied his 100th career NHL goal. Brett Ritchie shook the earth with a hit on Andy Greene and put Adam Larsson into submission after reigning a few blows to his back and neck in a fight. The Stars ended up with an intense win.

But it wasn’t only these things that made the night wonderful and memorable. An event that happened during the first and second intermission is one that will more than likely stick in the minds of all that were in attendance for many games to come.

Just a few minutes before the second period kicked off, the Stars had a 1-0 lead over the Devils and would look to continue their dominance and walk away with the win. Just before they took the ice once again, the Dallas Stars ice girls were doing their routine dance on the southeast corner of the arena.
