The first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs did not disappoint, and the second round is looking to be just as good. Here’s the updated bracket.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs have been a wild ride so far to say the least. While the Dallas Stars fell short of punching their ticket this year, it’s still been entertaining to watch.

Who would have guessed that the Chicago Blackhawks would be eliminated, the Toronto Maple Leafs would take the best team in the league to six hard-fought games, the Minnesota Wild and Columbus Blue Jackets would fall so easily, and the defending Western Conference champions would be knocked out all in the first round?

There were a lot of milestones hit. The Nashville Predators swept the Blackhawks, making it the first time in professional sports history that an eight-seed swept a one-seed. The first round also saw the most overtime games in a series in NHL history. The Maple Leafs and Capitals alone saw five of their six games go past 60 minutes.

There were plenty of shocks as well. The Wild and Blue Jackets, two teams who put together insane winning streaks during the season that reached past 10 games, were both eliminated in a mere five games. Not to mention that the Sharks, who reached the Stanley Cup Finals last year, were knocked out by a young and hungry Edmonton Oilers team.

While it is sad that the first round is over and so many great series have concluded, there’s so much more to be seen. After all, this is just the beginning.

The second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs will kick off on Wednesday night with both of the Western Conference series (St. Louis-Nashville and Anaheim-Edmonton) kicking off play.

Chances are you already filled out your bracket before the playoffs started and chances are that your bracket has been thoroughly busted up. After all, you are lying if you called the sweep on Chicago.

So here is a printable bracket for you to print out and fill in with your newest predictions.

It’s going to be an exciting second round, as you can already tell. There’s a lot left to prove for each of the final eight teams. If only the 2015-16 Dallas Stars were in this race, huh?
