It has been a busy couple of weeks for the Stars, full of music, head coach ponderings and of course, money.

If you haven’t heard, Mike Modano was guest hosting on a local radio show last week and “rapped” In Da Club by 50 Cent. And honestly, if you can make it through more than a couple minutes, you’re a better person than me. The best part about this link? The topic of who will be back in the coaching seat for Dallas is all over the place right now. But Tim Cowlishaw of SportsDay has some interesting ideas for who should fill the currently very empty shoes. While Cowlishaw does consider Tortorella, an even more interesting idea is who Cowlishaw thinks would be more beneficial for the growing team. Let’s just say you’ll recognize the name.

With the post-season in full swing for Dallas, acquisitions and re-signings are all over the place. The organization’s farm team in Austin, the Texas Stars, can look forward to having Cristopher Nilstorp back in goal next season, but he’s not the only name that’ll mean a lot for both teams down the road. Hooray for building up the defense!
