Mike Milbury and Jeremy Roenick Exchange Pleasantries Over Nystrom’s Hit

In last night’s contest between the Dallas Stars and Pittsburgh Penguins, things got chippy and rough early on. Both teams were willing to throw the body around and by the third both teams were constantly exchanging words and post-whistle jostles regularly. But a lot of it started after Eric Nystrom’s hit on defenseman Kris Letang in the Pens zone during the first period. Letang reached for a loose puck and Eric Nystrom has already committed to putting a check on him, resulting in the extended Letang taking Nystrom’s should up high. While the hit didn’t look dirty or malicious, it did result in a minor and there is already talk about how the NHL will view it.

During NBC’s post game show, Mike Milbury made it clear he thinks Nystrom should see a suspension, but then he and former player Jeremy Roenick got into a discussion about the hit. Things got very heated. Here is the video with the aftermath:
