The Texas Stars, AHL affiliate of the National Hockey League`s Dallas Stars announced today that Dallas has recalled goaltender Jack Campbell and has reassigned goaltender Richard Bachman to Texas.
The Port Huron native, Campbell has played in 32 games for the Texas Stars this season, posting a 14-10-3 record with a .906 save percentage and a 2.59 goals-against average. The 21-year old was a first-round selection, 11th overall, in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Campbell has represented the United States several times in his career. He won gold in both 2009 and 2010 at the IIHF World U18 Championships. In 2010 he won gold at the World Junior Championships, as well as bronze in 2011.
The 25-year old Bachman, on the other hand, has played in seven games this season with the Dallas Stars, going 2-3-0 with a .838 save percentage and a 4.27 Goals against average. In four games with Texas this season, Bachman went 3-1-0 with a .916 save percentage.
Bachman was selected 120th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars. In 26 NHL contests, Bachman has posted a 10-8-1 record with a .894 save percentage and a 3.13 GAA, registering one shutout.
