Before I get started, I would like to introduce myself. I’m Dale Lamontagne, the new Dallas Stars writer for Blackout Dallas.

As many of you may know, I’m currently writing for Editor in Leaf covering the Toronto Maple Leafs. I will continue with that coverage, but I have decided to expand my coverage to the Western Conference and I thought covering the Dallas Stars here on Blackout Dallas would be a fun ride.

I intend to bring fresh Stars content to you guys on a regular basis, so without further ado, here’s my first post on Blackout Dallas.

The Dallas Stars have announced the sweater numbers for Tyler Seguin, Shawn Horcoff, Rich Peverley, Dan Ellis, Valeri Nichushkin and Sergei Gonchar, along with some number changes for Jordie Benn, Ryan Garbutt, Jamie Oleksiak and Antoine Roussel.

The New Guys

We all know Seguin will be wearing No. 91 with the Dallas Stars this season. He does an obvious flip around from his previous number 19 with the Boston Bruins. Horcoff will wear No. 10. There’s no change for him as he wore No. 10 in Edmonton. But today we found out that Peverley will be wearing No 17 and that Ellis will wear No.30, meanwhile Stars 2013 first round pick Valeri Nichushkin will wear No. 43 and Gonchar will wear No. 55.

The Other Changes:

Jordie Benn will switch from No. 58 to 24, Ryan Garbutt will switch from No. 40 to 16, Jamie Oleksiak will switch from 43 to 5 and Antoine Roussel will switch from No. 40 to 16.
