Dallas Stars Recall Curtis McKenzie From AHL

The Dallas Stars announced today that they have recalled forward Curtis McKenzie from the Texas Stars of the AHL.

McKenzie, 23, has played two games for Dallas this season, with his debut coming against the Philadelphia Flyers. He has not scored a point yet for the Dallas Stars. In Austin, he has scored two goals and tallied two assists for a total of four points, along with 13 shots registered on goal.

McKenzie is a native of Golden, British Columbia and was drafted by the Dallas Stars organization in the sixth round of the 2009 NHL Draft.

With McKenzie being called up, one can only assume that either Cody Eakin or Valeri Nichushkin will not be playing tonight, possibly both. With both out, the Dallas Stars would only have eleven healthy forwards and McKenzie will make 12 and a full roster tonight. No word on injuries yet, but we will wait and see.
