Tyler Seguin Drafted and Traded in First NHL All Star Draft
The face in the picture may very well describe how Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin felt last night during the first ever NHL Fantasy All Star Draft.
After being selected fifth overall by Team Foligno, there was an announcement made that a trade was to be done. With that, Team Foligno traded away the league leader in goals Tyler Seguin to Team Toews in exchange for Toronto Maple Leafs forward Phil Kessel.

Many called it the Phil Kessel trade 2.0 because of history. On September 18, 2009, the Boston Bruins traded Kessel to the Maple Leafs in exchange for three draft picks, which turned out to be Tyler Seguin and Jared Knight in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, and Dougie Hamilton in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Seguin was then traded to the Dallas Stars on July 4, 2013, and has become one of the league’s most dominant snipers so far this season.
“You never expect to get traded,” Seguin said jokingly. “It’s tough to swallow right now, but I’m really excited. I’ve got a big opportunity over there with the white so it’ll be fun.”
