Richard Bachman:

Some of you might not even know who Richard Bachman is. Let me tell you why he’s on this list.

There’s two reasons.

First, he never really got a true opportunity to start for the Stars.

Second, the Stars have really only had four starting goalies in their 21 seasons. So, let me tell you a little bit about Bachman.

Richard Bachman played on the Dallas Stars from 2010-2013, and played as a back-up to Kari Lehtonen. In those three seasons, he only appeared in 32 games.

What he did in those 32 games, however, is the impressive part about Bachman.

He had a career 2.94 GAA and a .901 save percentage with the Stars. Now, while those aren’t jaw-dropping statistics, Bachman did exactly what he needed to do as a back-up.

And, in the 2011-2012 season, he even had a 2.77 GAA, but it just so happened to be the same season that Kari’s was 2.33.

While Richard Bachman never made too much of an impact on the Dallas Stars, he fulfilled his role during his time in Dallas.

Now with the Vancouver Canucks, Bachman is only 28 years old, and still has time to prove himself as a consistent goalie in the NHL.
