Dallas Stars Road Games Worth Marking Your Calendar for in 2017-18
With hockey season right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to plan that road trip to see the Dallas Stars play in another team’s arena.
The Dallas Stars have a number of great home games that fall into the category of can’t miss, but there are a few away games that make sense to travel to as well.
November 28th versus the Las Vegas Golden Knights
Considering a new organization has joined the NHL since the puck was last dropped, it makes sense to head to their new arena to see the Stars. For Dallas, they’ll host the Golden Knights in their opening game of the season, but won’t head to Nevada until the end of November.
While this game is on a Tuesday night, it’s worth extending your Thanksgiving break to attend. There’s nothing like a little trip to Vegas to recover from the stress of the holidays – especially when it involves seeing a Dallas Stars game.

December 15th and 16th versus the Devils and Flyers
If a weekend trip is more up your alley, consider attending back-to-back games in the Northeast. Dallas will head to New Jersey on Friday, December 15 before playing in Philadelphia on Saturday, December 16.
These games give Stars fans the best opportunity to catch some hockey while on vacation in two new cities. New Jersey and Philadelphia are a quick train ride away from each other, so it’s the perfect opportunity to double up. Not to mention they happen to fall just days before Christmas, so it’s bound to be a winter wonderland in both locations.
Of course, snow also could mean flight delays. If opting to make this trip a reality, you should consider the possible repercussions of heading north during the middle of December. But, even if you have to miss a few more days of work, you got to see two Stars away games so it’s really a win-win.
March 6th versus the Nashville Predators
There are a few visits to Bridgestone Arena during 2017-18, but there’s nothing like the push toward the playoffs in March and April. Dallas will take on the 2017 Western Conference Champions on their home turf in March and the arena will surely be loud.
Nashville is a great city to visit and their hockey fans showed true dedication during last year’s playoffs. While they didn’t end up hoisting the Cup, this is a team with a lot of star power and their relatively new arena is worth the trip.
Plus, with a building as loud as theirs, it’d be good to have as many Stars fans in the building as possible.

Bottom line
Really there is no wrong choice when planning a road trip to see the Stars. Depending upon ticket prices, travel accommodations and scheduling it can be a pain. However, once as you step foot into the opposing team’s arena and get to see the Dallas Stars skate onto the ice, everything is well worth it.
