The Dallas Stars conclude their road trip Sunday night as they take on the Vancouver Canucks for the first time this season. The Stars look to end their Canadian road trip with a victory. Here are the keys for the Stars to beat the Canucks and come home with a smile on their face.

Dallas Stars vs Vancouver Canucks preview: 3. Capitalize on the power play

The Dallas Stars learned in their previous game against the Flames that in order to win, you need to capitalize with the extra man advantage. If the Stars can get on the power play and capitalize, they will have no issue tomorrow night beating the Canucks.

Dallas Stars vs Vancouver Canucks preview: 2. Kill penalties

The Stars also learned against the Flames is that killing penalties is essential in this league. The Flames were able to capitalize on the power play and force over time. You cant let the Canucks capitalize on the man advantage or else the Stars will be heading back to Texas with an L.

Dallas Stars vs Vancouver Canucks preview: 1. Win in regulation

Dallas Stars fans only have one message for the team and that is please win in regulation. We are the only team in the league that hasn’t won in regulation after Pheonix won in regulation over the Kraken. Our hearts can’t take a whole season of overtime wins and losses.

Vancouver Canucks players to watch

J.T. Miller

Miller is one of the two Canucks the Stars need to keep in check tomorrow night. He currently leads the team in assists with nine. The Stars don’t need him to get comfortable out on the ice or else he could set up a ton of goals for Vancouver tomorrow night.

Bo Horvat

Horvat currently leads the team with four goals so far this season. I’m pretty sure Miller set him up on a couple of those. Stars have to keep a close eye on him during the game because I could see him score tomorrow night.
