The Dallas Stars won 5-2 against the Philadelphia Flyers in Dallas on Saturday night. This win marks their first win in regulation this season. The Stars are relieved that the pressure of not being able to win in regulation is off of their shoulders. Here is the game summary of the Stars vs the Flyers.

Dallas Stars vs Philadelphia Flyers: first period summary

The Stars needed to set the tempo of the game early. The Stars were able to get on the board first with a goal from Luke Glendenning with 7 minutes remaining in the first period. The Flyers were able to get 19 shots on goal, but Khudobin used some of that bubble magic to keep the Stars in the lead 1-0 after one.

Dallas Stars vs Philadelphia Flyers: second period summary

The Stars needed to win the second period in order to keep the Flyers from taking over the game and they did just that. The only goal Khudobin allowed in the second was from James Van Riemsdyk midway through the second period. The Stars were able to get goals from both Roope Hintz and Tyler Seguin in order to keep the lead 3-1 going into the third period.

Dallas Stars vs Philadelphia Flyers: Third period summary

In order to win their first-ever win in regulation this season, the Stars needed to hold the Flyers off just one more period. Joe Pavelski was able to get an early insurance goal to put the Stars up 4-1. Things started to get a little shaky after Ivan Provorov scored to make it 4-2.

Khudobin brought his magic late in the third period and was able to hold the Flyers at two goals until Radek Faksa was able to put a goal into the empty Flyers net to secure the win 5-2.
