The Dallas Stars are taking a brief break from their homestand and will be traveling to Minnesota for a quick game with the Wild. This will be the first game against the Wild this season for the Stars. Here is the game plan if the Stars want to steal a quick win on the road.

Dallas Stars vs Minnesota Wild: 3. Got to start strong

As I stated in the last postgame report article, that was the first complete first period the Stars have had this season. The Stars need to continue to come out strong against their opponents whether that’s at home or on the road. Hopefully, we will see another complete first period tonight.

Dallas Stars vs Minnesota Wild: 2. Got to start playing Oettinger in net

Jake Oettinger had one heck of a win against Detroit only allowing two goals. Bowness needs to realize he is the future of the franchise between the pipes and he needs to get more starts. But with the current goaltending situation, I expect Dobby to be in net tonight against the Wild.

Dallas Stars vs Minnesota Wild: 1. Score on the extra man advantage

The Stars need to continue to score on the extra man advantage whenever they get the chance. right now they are third in the league on the power play behind the Oilers and the Blues. I think the Stars could have the best power play if they continue to capitalize and hopefully, they continue tonight.

Wild player to watch

Kirill Kaprizov

While Kaprizov has had a slow start to the season, you cannot afford to sleep on him. There’s a reason why Minnesota paid big to keep him in the NHL. He’s one of the best young players currently in the league and there was a reason why he beat Jason Roberston for Rookie of the Year last season.
