Immediately following a 4-2 loss to the Nashville Predators, the Dallas Stars elected to hold a players only meeting in the locker room. While we don’t know exactly what was addressed or who all took the lead, we do know what these events entail. A players only meeting is called when issues arise within the ranks. As the name entails, no coaches or staff of any kind is allowed. This allows grievances to be aired and resolutions to be made and can make or break a teams season. This was absolutely necessary for the Dallas Stars after falling far short of expectations.

Rick Bowness and a few players addressed the media following the players only meeting. While players like Jason Robertson and Braden Holtby spoke more of trusting the process and the leadership, Roope Hintz just said “We had a talk with the group there, and that stays there.” It sounded like a lot came out in the meeting and even more would be done as Rick Bowness was adamant in saying “I know exactly what’s wrong with this team and we’re going to fix it.” Fix it they did, as the Stars have steamrolled their way through the 2 games since.
