Jamie Benn and the Dallas Stars seeing 7’s after 4-1 win over Coyotes

Jamie Benn and the Dallas Stars are seeing 7’s after beating the Arizona Coyotes 4-1 Monday night at the American Airlines Center. That’s seven straight wins for the Stars and also eight straight wins at home.  It was great to see former Dallas Stars players Loui Eriksson and Antoine Roussel get honored during the game. Here is the recap of tonight’s game against the Coyotes.

Dallas Stars vs Arizona Coyotes: 1st period

Before the game started they honored Joe Pavelski for scoring his 400th goal and became the 9th US player to do so. The Stars and the Coyotes went back and forth to start the first period. The minute in score streak as the Stars couldn’t get one past the goaltender in the first minute of the game.

At the first TV timeout, the crowd honored Loui Eriksson for his 1000th game in the league. Roope Hintz scored at the 7-minute mark to put the Stars up 1-0 after the first period. Stars would trail in the shots on goal category 9-7.

Dallas Stars vs Arizona Coyotes: 2nd period

Arizona was able to get on the board on a nasty wrister from Shayne Gostisbehere to tie the game at one. The Stars would have so many almost goals that it made fans’ hearts skip a beat. The Stars were able to take over the Shots on goal category 16-14.

Dallas Stars vs Arizona Coyotes: 3rd period

Really wasn’t much going on at the beginning of the third period until Jacob Peterson had a goal called back for kicking it in. Peterson would redeem himself a couple of minutes later to make it 2-1 Stars. Jamie Benn would finish off the Coyotes for good with a pair of goals two minutes apart to seal the victory for the Stars 4-1. The Stars will now go for win number eight on the road starting in Vegas against the Golden Knights Wednesday night.
