The Dallas Stars can’t get rid of the Blues going around the organization as they lost to the St Louis Blues last night 4-1. This is the fourth straight loss for the Stars as they look to start another win streak going in the middle of December. Here’s how the Stars did last night against the Blues.

Dallas Stars vs Blues 1st period recap

Ben Bishop was recognized by the home crowd tonight for his career after he announced he would be retiring at the end of his contract with the Stars. Bishop got a standing ovation and both teams gave him stick taps.

The Stars started out the game with some physicality that we didn’t see on the road trip. John Klingberg plastered a Blues player into the board. We had a weird sequence of events that happened after the hit.

The NHL Replay Center called Dallas to change the kicking no-goal to a goal. The Stars then challenged it for offsides and they won the challenge which resulted in the goal not counting. Jake Oettinger showed why he started tonight as he’s stopped the Blues offense cold in the first period. At the end of the first period, the Stars and Blues are tied at 0. Stars trail the Blues on shots on goal 10-7.

Dallas Stars vs Blues 2nd period recap

The Stars came out of the locker room and turned up the pressure on Charlie Lindgren by crashing the net. Apparently, Lindgren needs to strap on his helmet since it keeps coming off during the game tonight. The Stars penalty kill has been on fire as they killed off a St Louis power play five minutes into the period.

I was hoping this guy would get his first career goal tonight and he did. Reily Damiani pounded one home on a beautiful goal from Klingberg to make it 1-0. Unfortunately, Colton Paryako had to ruin the celebration as he scored one less than a minute later to make this game 1-1 going into the second intermission.

Dallas Stars vs Blues 3rd period recap

Well, this is a period that you just want to burn the tape and forget it even happened. The Stars couldn’t get much going offensively and the defense disappeared. Justin Fulk, Ryan O’Reilly and Vladimir Tarasenko scored in the third and the final score would be 4-1 St Louis. The Stars need to get something going against the Blues on Friday.
