The Dallas Stars return home to take on their central division rival the Chicago Blackhawks. This will be a true test of grit because when the Stars take on the Blackhawks, it can get pretty nasty between the two teams. Here’s how the Stars can get a win against the Blackhawks tonight.

Dallas Stars vs Chicago Blackhawks: 3. Be the tougher team

The Stars have got to lead in the hits category tonight if they want to win against Chicago. They can’t let the Blackhawks check them into the boards whenever they want to. Currently, the Blackhawks are right below the Stars in the standings and probably want the two points tomorrow night.

Dallas Stars vs Chicago Blackhawks: 2. Score at will

The Stars have to get in a scoring groove tonight, they cant be content with one goal and coast the rest of the way through the game. This is a rivalry game on the road and what better way to embarrass the Hawks is to run up the score. Hopefully, Roope Hintz can get a goal a minute into the game to get things started for the Stars.

Dallas Stars vs Chicago Blackhawks: 1. Push their buttons

The Stars need to get under the Blackhawks skin and what better way is to talk trash in between stoppages of play. The Stars can distract their players from executing their game plan by talking trash at them. Usually, I’m not a fan of this between plays but the Stars need to get a winning streak going and if this works I’m all for it.

Blackhawks to watch

Alex DeBrincat

DeBrincat is their leading scorer going into this game with 16 goals. I expect Miro Heiskanen to be guarding him tomorrow night so he doesn’t score. If the Stars want a chance to get a win in Chicago, they have to stop him from getting any goals.
