It’s a Christmas miracle, The Dallas Stars broke their losing streak against the Chicago Blackhawks tonight by winning. What a gift by the Dallas Stars to give their fans who were in attendance Saturday night. Here’s how the Stars were able to snap the five game losing streak at home.
Dallas Stars vs Chicago Blackhawks recap: 1st period
The Dallas Stars had a scary situation in the first period tonight. Tanner Kero would get checked by a Brett Connolly and would be knocked out unconscious. It would be announced later that Kero was conscious and moving his extremities and would be transported to the hospital for observation.

The Stars would capitalize twice on the 5 minute major as Joe Pavelski would score twice on the power play to put the Stars up 2-0 going into the first intermission. You could tell that hit on Kero really put a spark behind the Stars.
...and you just can't slow him down.

Dallas Stars vs Chicago Blackhawks recap: 2nd period
There are days where I sometimes wish I don’t put a player to watch in the pregame articles for Blackout Dallas. Alex Debrincat scored 5 minutes into the second period to get the Blackhawks on the board. Not even 16 seconds later, Jason Robertson would backhand one in for Dallas to make it 3-1 Dallas.
Dylan Strome wasn’t going to allow Dallas to break this game wide open and scored a goal for the Blackhawks to keep this game within reach. The Stars would go into the intermission in the lead 3-2 looking to break this losing streak they are currently on.
It's like he didn't even see it.

The Stars and the Blackhawks basically traded shots on goal back and forth for most of the 3rd period. Dominik Kubalik was able to tie the game up 12 minutes into the 3rd. The Stars and the Blackhawks would coast to the end of the third period and go to OT.
Patrick Kane almost ended the game 22 seconds into OT, but he lost control of the puck and the Stars avoided an early crisis. John Klingberg would score on the Power Play and the Stars would break the five game losing streak.
