The Dallas Stars will take on the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night for a quick pit stop at home before the Stars hit the road for four games. The Canadiens are currently on a six game losing streak after losing to Phoenix on Monday night. Here is how the Dallas Stars can continue their home winning streak while making it seven straight losses for Montreal.

Dallas Stars vs Montreal Canadiens: 3. Forget about Florida

There’s nothing that the Stars can do about this past weekend in Florida. They got outscored 10-2 in both games combined and that is in the past. Right now the Stars can only look forward as they look to inch closer to the NHL Playoffs. I want to see that quick scoring intensity we had during our last home stand to continue the home winning streak.

Dallas Stars vs Montreal Canadiens 2. Find that killer instinct we used to have

I know this Stars team and I know they have that killer instinct that they had when in the playoff bubble a couple of seasons ago. I don’t know what’s going on internally with the team, but they need to get theirselves together cause they could have a shot at the playoffs if some teams in the Central Division start to lose games. If they can find that instinct at home tonight, maybe the road losses will turn into road wins.

Dallas Stars vs Montreal Canadiens 1. Continue to protect our house

The Dallas Stars currently have a 13-1 record at home in the last 14 home games. I would like to see that at 14-1 by the end of the game on Tuesday. The Stars need to continue to send a message to the other teams that if they want a win in Dallas, they have to earn that win on the ice.
