The Dallas Stars continue their homestand on Wednesday night as they look to dethrone the Los Angeles Kings. Hopefully, that explosive offense can continue over from the game against Buffalo. At tonights game, the Stars will be have their Noche Mexicana theme night. The first 5,000 fans will receive a Lucha Libre mask as part of the celebration.
Dallas Stars vs Los Angeles Kings preview 3. Continue scoring at will
The Dallas Stars are currently in the final wildcard position for the playoffs. If they want to stay above the playoff line, they have to continue to score and win games. Hopefully, the Stars don’t go back to the “score once and dump & chase” game plan. Got to keep scoring early and setting the momentum for the rest of the game.
Dallas Stars vs Los Angeles Kings preview 2. Keep the power play goal streak going
The Stars have been up and down on the extra man opportunity all year long. There were a lot of games this season they could have won if they would have capitalized on the power play. I want to see the Stars get some more power play goals before the end of the season. Scoring on the power play could help the Stars if they were to clinch one of the coveted playoff spots in the Western Conference.
Dallas Stars vs Los Angeles Kings preview 1. Give Otter a rest
I know this will probably make a lot of readers not happy, but Jake Oettinger needs a break. The last thing that the Stars want to happen is for him to play so many games and get injured. We temporarily got back into the playoff race and maybe a two game break is what’s best for Otter right now. I think Holtby can manage to win the next two games coming up for the Stars.
