The Dallas Stars welcome the Vancouver Canucks to the American Airlines Center for Youth Hockey Night. The Stars will look to defend home ice while highlighting all the youth hockey organizations in the DFW Metroplex. Hopefully, the Stars will be able to split the season series instead of getting swept by them. Here are the keys to the game for the Stars to filet the Canucks.

Dallas Stars vs Vancouver Canucks Preview: 3. Pump up the home crowd before hitting the road

The Stars will be hitting the road for a while after tonight’s game so might as well entertain the home crowd. Stars need to build an early lead in the 1st to keep the crowd in the game. Hopefully, the Stars can drop the gloves a couple of times tomorrow night. If the Stars can blank the Canucks, the crowd will be very loud by the end of the game.

Dallas Stars vs Vancouver Canucks Preview: 2. Win in regulation

I think by now Stars fans are very tired of watching this team make it to OT this season. The last thing the Stars need to do is go to OT and lose against a team also fighting for that last wildcard spot this postseason. Stars need to keep winning games in regulation and can start a streak tonight here in Dallas.

Dallas Stars vs Vancouver Canucks Preview: 1. OtterMania

Even though Wedgewood did great in his Stars debut, I would start Jake Oettinger tonight against Vancouver. I have nothing against Wedgewood since he’s a good goaltender, got to allow the future of the franchise to continue playing and getting ready for the playoffs if the Stars do clinch a spot this season. I’ll update you guys tomorrow afternoon who gets the nod between the pipes on the Blackout Dallas Twitter page.
