Dallas Stars take off for one last regular season Canadian road trip
The Dallas Stars probably saw the good news on Easter Sunday that the St. Louis Blues completely obliterated Nashville and temporarily move into the first Wildcard spot in the Western Conference. Now tonight the Stars can put a gap between them and Nashville with a win against the Vancouver Canucks. Stars need to win this game so they can start building a gap between them and Nashville. Here are the keys to the game against the Vancouver Canucks.
Dallas Stars vs Vancouver Canucks Preview: 3. Stop Elias Pettersson
Stars need to get revenge for what Elias Pettersson did to them on home ice a couple of weeks ago. Pettersson was on hat trick watch as he scored two goals against the Stars in the last game between the two teams. Stars know he will probably be one of the cogs of their offense tomorrow night. Miro Heiskanen and John Klingberg have to shut him down tomorrow night. I don’t want to see Pettersson get a hat trick tomorrow night.
Dallas Stars vs Vancouver Canucks Preview: 2. Offense! Offense! Offense!
The Stars have to score goals in the 1st period against the Canucks tonight. They can’t wait to get things going late in the game. Pavelski and Sons need to get some points early on in the game since the other lines are having issues scoring. If the top line can get things going hopefully, the other lines can get on the scoring fun tonight against the Canucks.
Dallas Stars vs Vancouver Canucks Preview: 1. Please pick the right goalie Bowness
Bowness has a tough decision tonight before the game against the Canucks. Does he give Oettinger more rest or does he play him? While Scott “Wedgewall” Wedgewood has done phenomenal work between the pipes in Dallas, do you want Oettinger to be “rusty” for the playoffs? Whatever decision that he makes for the starting goaltender, I’m sure Stars fans will back him.
