Dallas Stars Announce the Roster For the Prospect Tournament
Earlier this week, Dallas Stars fans were happy to see the ice being formed and painted at the American Airlines Center. When that happens, we are so close to the beginning of training camp and the preseason schedule. Before all of that happens, the Stars will be taking a team of prospects to the 2022 Prospect Tournament at Traverse City, Michigan. This is where teams can see which players are close to making the main roster or need more time in the AHL or junior hockey.
The Stars will be playing from September 15th through the 19th. Here is probably the most loaded roster that the Dallas Stars have sent to the prospect tournament in a decade.

Dallas Stars Prospect Roster Breakdown
It is led by the Stars top three prospects Wyatt Johnston, Mavrik Bourque and Logan Stankoven. I pray to the “Hockey Gods” that we get to see all three of them on the same line at some point during the tournament to see if they have any chemistry together as a group. The team also has Francesco Arcuri, who just signed a three year entry level contract recently. I could go on and on about how loaded this team is.
I wouldn’t be shocked if most of these guys stick around for training camp after the tournament is over. I would like to see some of them get some preseason action to see if we can move some of them to the AHL. If they still have eligibility for Junior Hockey, I could see most of them going back to their junior hockey clubs. I can’t wait to see how the Stars roster stacks up against the teams that they are scheduled to play.
