Dallas Stars Training Camp Day 2 Recap: Observations

Let’s begin with a fun fan interaction between a fan and Marian Studenic. There was a nice 93 year old Slovak fan that showed up at training camp from Studenic’s home country. The two interacted and the old lady told him he better play good. Defending Big D Managing Editor Taylor Baird was the one who encountered the interaction.

Some of the other observations from camp today was how good Wyatt Johnston is with his puck handling. DeFranks posted the clip of him going one on one with Michael Karow who really shows great patience defensively. Karow might be a player the Stars call up due to an injury if he continues to show that kind of patience with his stick.

Really the only other thing that really stuck out to me at training camp was DeBoer kept together the Marchment Gurianov Hintz line for a second straight day of camp. DeBoer must have saw something the first day of camp that made him keep the line together. If he has them on the same line on Saturday, I think it could become permanent line on Opening Night.
