The Dallas Stars will be seeing a familiar face as they kick off the home portion of their schedule. They will be taking on the Nashville Predators at the American Airlines Center tonight. If you are going to the game tomorrow night, make sure you’re in your seat at 6:30 for the player introductions. It’s going to be a fun night of hockey in the city of Dallas, so be ready to cheer on the Stars. Here are the three keys to tonight’s game against the Predators.

Dallas Stars vs Nashville Predators Preview: 3. Continue to Move the Puck Around

The Stars have to continue moving the puck around in the offensive zone. It led to some good shot attempts on the net in the first game this season. All four lines were able to be productive on offense on Thursday night. If the Stars want to be a contender in the Central Division this season, they got to continue to get good shots that lead to goals. It’s so refreshing to see this rather than last year’s “dump and chase” scheme.

Dallas Stars vs Nashville Predators Preview: 2. Continue to Protect Oettinger

The Stars did a good job on Thursday night protecting Jake Oettinger by getting the puck out of their zone. It let Oettinger relax in the crease and do what he does best and that is saving shots. They need to continue to check the opponents into the boards and exit the zone with the puck.

Dallas Stars vs Nashville Predators Preview: 1. Fans need to let Trashville have it

Fans who are attending the game expect the American Airlines Center should expect it to be packed. We need to let this year’s squad that we have their back-at-home games this season. Fans need to be loud and chirping at the Predators throughout the game. It would be nice to see our fan base send a message to the other NHL teams that they won’t like playing in Dallas this season.
