With Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever coming out next Thursday night, I couldn’t resist using this Kilmonger phrase. The Dallas Stars entered Mullett Arena and decimated the Coyotes 7-2. You couldn’t ask for anything else from the Stars tonight. They dominated on both sides of the puck and were outstanding tonight. It was great to see scoring from three of the four lines tonight. Here are the three main takeaways from the Dallas Stars tonight.
Dallas Stars vs Arizona Coyotes Recap: 3. Getting off to a strong start
As I said in the paragraph above, the Stars got off to a solid start tonight against the Coyotes. Denis Gurianov got his first goal of the season to get things kicked off. A couple of minutes later, Wyatt Johnston got his fourth career goal. After that, the Stars just kept piling on the goals and forced the Coyotes to change their goalie. If the Stars can start off games like tonight throughout the season, we might not be a wildcard team for the playoffs this season.
Dallas Stars vs Arizona Coyotes Recap: 2. Miro Heiskanen on the power play
Dallas Morning News Reporter Matthew DeFranks pointed out an amazing stat about Heiskanen on the power play. Miro Heiskanen has helped the Stars score 4 goals on the power play in the last two games. Before that, the Stars couldn’t get a power-play goal. It’s just amazing how much Miro Heiskanen holds this team together on offense. I think Pete DeBoer needs to keep him on the power play for now based on the stats. It’s like the saying goes, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
Dallas Stars vs Arizona Coyotes Recap: 1. I wouldn’t change the lines
If I were Pete DeBoer, I wouldn’t change up any of the lines for the foreseeable future. If there is an injury to a player and there needed to be some shuffling around, I would be okay with it. Right now everything is going right for this Stars team and hopefully, it can continue Saturday in Edmonton.
